The benefits of concealing your intentions

This was something I learned as an adult.
It is better to keep people off balance and in the dark by never revealing the reason for your actions. They cannot prepare a defense if they are unaware of your intentions. Guide them far enough down the wrong path, envelop them in enough smoke, and they will realize your intentions when it is too late.
This third law taught me about the power and benefit of concealing one’s intentions.

It is in two parts.
Part 1: Using decoyed objects of desire and red herrings to throw people off track.
All is lost if people suspect your intentions at any point during the deception you practice. Do not give them the opportunity to sense what you are up to. Drag red herrings across the path to throw them off the scent. Use false sincerity, send ambiguous signals, and set up deceptive objects of desire. They are unable to distinguish between the genuine and the false, and thus cannot identify your true goal.
