How I use Spending Time in Nature to improve my Mental Well-being
Nowadays it’s easy to get caught up in hustling for our daily bread. Our minds are constantly racing, and feeling stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed is not uncommon.
This is the reason why I apply this simple yet powerful solution that can help me relieve these feelings and improve my mental well-being by spending time in nature.
With my experience with the healing power of nature especially during a particularly stressful period in my life when I find myself feeling anxious and overwhelmed.
An old colleague once told me about going for an evening stroll whenever he was anxious and stressed after work. Then I asked him how he could do that after a busy day at work, he told me that the experience was different and that when he goes out for a walk, he spends time alleviating the stress of the day and spending time with nature. I looked at him weirdly that day. So, I decided to take a walk around my neighborhood when I had so much stress and it was affecting my sleep. As I strolled through the street with trees, I noticed a squirrel chasing another animal (I didn’t see it but heard the movement). I couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. At that moment, my worries seemed to melt away, and I felt a sense of calm wash over me.
